Brevard, NC – The N.C. Wesleyan men's soccer team continued its dominance in USA South play on Saturday, defeating the defending conference champions, Brevard, 2-1. The victory kept the Bishops perfect in league action with a 5-0 record.

The match remained scoreless for the majority of the contest, with both teams battling for control. It wasn't until the 74th minute when Justo Esponda-Neuss broke the deadlock, scoring his third goal of the season off a well-placed free kick from Tiago Feler.
Feler followed up nine minutes later with a brilliant strike of his own, sending his sixth goal of the season into the top right corner in stunning fashion to give the Bishops a 2-0 advantage.
Brevard responded in the 85th minute, but the late goal wasn't enough to complete the comeback. Both teams combined for 25 total shots, with Wesleyan taking five shots on goal. Goalkeeper Rafael Farina made three key saves to secure the huge win for the Bishops.
