Greensboro Defeats Women's Soccer on Senior Day

Rocky Mount, NC - On Senior Day, the N.C. Wesleyan women's soccer team faced a tough challenge against Greensboro, ultimately falling 2-0. After the conclusion of the match, the team and family members were treated to a celebration that including food and fellowship by the athletic department.

Greensboro struck first in the 18th minute, with Amery Skinner netting her 11th goal of the season, assisted by Emily Snider. This early lead set the tone for the Pride, who continued to press the Bishops in the second half. In that stanza, Skinner once again impacted a huge Pride goal, assisting Maci Hulver for her second goal of the year, adding an insurance goal.

Despite the scoreline, the Bishops never quit, taking seven shots throughout the match, five of which were on target. Senior Alicia Harp came close to finding the back of the net on two occasions, having an oustatnding game on her Senior Day.
