Rocky Mount, NC - The N.C. Wesleyan volleyball team put up a valiant fight but fell to Methodist 3-1 on Wednesday night. The Bishops started strong, winning one of their best sets of the year, 25-23, to take an early lead. However, the Monarchs responded with relentless pressure, aided by eleven service aces, to claim the next three sets.

Freshman Brooklynn Covic led the Bishops' offense with ten kills, the only player on the team to reach double digits, while also contributing thirteen digs. Sloan Martin was key in distributing the ball, racking up a remarkable 26 assists. On defense, Aajah Vasquez was a standout at the net with eight blocks to her credit.
