Volleyball Sweeps Mary Baldwin in Dominant 3-0 Victory

Staunton, VA - The N.C. Wesleyan volleyball team delivered one of their most impressive performances of the season, sweeping Mary Baldwin 3-0 in a conference matchup. The Bishops took control early and never looked back, winning each set by a margin of at least four points to secure their fourth league win of the year.

The Basics:
Score:
 N.C. Wesleyan 3, Mary Baldwin 0
Location/Venue: Staunton, VA / Physical Activities Center
Records: N.C. Wesleyan (5-21, 4-14 USA South), Mary Baldwin (2-23, 0-17 USA South)

Sloan Martin was once again a standout for the Bishops, turning in a well-rounded performance with eight kills, eleven assists, and six digs. Martin continues to put a bow on one of the greatest careers in NCWU history, as she surpassed 1,000 digs earlier this season.

Defensively, Wesleyan was in control throughout the match, registering the only five blocks of the game. Emily Foraker and Aajah Vasquez led the charge at the net, each recording two blocks to help stifle Mary Baldwin's offense.

The freshman class also stepped up in a big way on Tuesday. Chloe Baggett played a pivotal role in the service game, notching four service aces, while Shay Lunsford, a standout from Georgia, set up ten assists to help facilitate the Bishops' offensive flow.
