Demorest, GA - The N.C. Wesleyan men's basketball team came up short in a hard-fought contest against Piedmont in its second and final game of the Georgia road trip. Despite a well-balanced scoring effort that saw four Bishops reach double figures, NCWU could not overcome a late-game deficit and fell to Piedmont by a narrow margin.

Markquan Gilbert led the Bishops with fifteen points and four rebounds, shooting an efficient 7-of-10 from the floor. James Jones added thirteen points and three rebounds, while Marquis Eskew delivered a strong performance with twelve points and five rebounds, including four made field goals. NCWU also dominated the glass 53-39, with Shakei Hines earning his first double-digit rebounding effort in 2014-25 with ten.
However, the Bishops struggled at the free-throw line, converting just 7-of-14 attempts, including crucial misses in the closing moments that proved costly.
