Men's Basketball Drops Conference Contest to Greensboro

Rocky Mount, NC - The N.C. Wesleyan men's basketball team dropped a heartbreaker on Saturday afternoon to the Greensboro Pride inside Everett Gymnasium. Wesleyan would have four key players reach double-digits in the defeat including Omari Bolden who notched fifteen. On an afternoon where both offenses were on fire, both teams shot over 48% from the field, which is the highest combined shooting percentage in a game for the Battling Bishops this season.

In the post, Kyron Kelly inserted his dominance for the Battling Bishops, grabbing eight of the team's 28 rebounds while contributing eleven points to the effort. While the final score did not go in Wesleyan's favor, the Battling Bishops had many positive spurts in the contest, tying the game seven times off 26 made field goals. Wesleyan would also have a much improved performace from the line, knocking down 13-18, which would become crucial to keep the game within striking distance in the final minutes.
