Hampden-Sydney, VA - The N.C. Wesleyan baseball team won its third straight contest on Tuesday afternoon at Hampden-Sydney by a final score of 12-7. Out the gate in the first, the Bishops got off to an electric start with a
Davie Morgan solo home run and a 2-RBI single to the right side by
Colin Scoggins to extend the lead.
The Tigers responded with five runs in the bottom half of the same frame as Hampden-Sydney would go back on top 5-3. The Battling Bishops punched back to lead off the second inning as
Tyson Bass hit a sac-fly to drive in
Maison Nance and
Davie Morgan would come up clutch again with a single to score Alex Moskel.

Wesleyan would break the game open in the 4th inning as
Tyson Bass hit a 2-run laser beam homer to left center and was followed by a
Jackson Hobbs double which scored
Alex Moskal. The Bishops were not done there as
Colin Scoggins came up with another big hit for his third RBI of the contest.
On the mount,
Drake Hobgood would be credited with his second career collegiate win, tossing 2.1 innings only allowing one run.
