Mattocks and Burden Lead Bishops to Huge Conference Road Win

Fayetteville, NC - In a thrilling conference showdown on Tuesday night, the N.C. Wesleyan men's basketball team secured a significant victory over Methodist led by standout performances from Justin Burden and Jalen Mattocks, Burden emerged as a scoring force for the Bishops, notching eighteen points, marking his second such feat this season. His stellar performance marked the third-highest scoring game of the year for the Sophomore. Adding to the offensive onslaught was Jalen Mattocks, who had a career night with a double-double of seventeen points and eleven rebounds, showcasing his versatility and impact on the court.

Marquis Eskew also made his presence felt with eleven points and five rebounds, contributing crucially to the team's offensive output. As a cohesive unit, the Bishops dominated the boards, grabbing a total of forty rebounds, while efficient shooting saw the ball fall inside the basketball at a clip of 44%.

The defense also stepped up in a big way, holding Methodist to under 15%  from beyond the arc, demonstrating their defensive prowess and ability to disrupt the opposition's game plan.
