Baseball Drops Game One to Brevard

Rocky Mount, NC - The N.C. Wesleyan baseball program fell to Brevard Friday night 12-6 in game one of the conference series. With the loss, the #18 Battling Bishops fall to 15-6 on the season.

The Basics:
Score:
 N.C. Wesleyan 6, Brevard 12
Location/Venue: Rocky Mount, NC / Bauer Field
Records: N.C. Wesleyan (15-6, 5-2 USA South), Brevard (13-8, 6-1 USA South)

Jumping out the gate with five first inning runs, the Battling Bishops were put in a position to respond. Doing so with three unanswered runs, Jackson Hobbs doubled for his first of three RBIs and homered in his next at-bat to make the score 5-3. The 6th-8th frames saw Drifton Padgett record a sac-fly to bring home Seth Jones and a Davie Morgan draw a bases loaded walk for the final run of the contest. Unable to fend off the Brevard offense, the Battling Bishops were unable to come away with the victory.
