Rocky Mount, NC - The N.C. Wesleyan baseball program fell to Brevard Friday night 12-6 in game one of the conference series. With the loss, the #18 Battling Bishops fall to 15-6 on the season.

Jumping out the gate with five first inning runs, the Battling Bishops were put in a position to respond. Doing so with three unanswered runs,
Jackson Hobbs doubled for his first of three RBIs and homered in his next at-bat to make the score 5-3. The 6th-8th frames saw
Drifton Padgett record a sac-fly to bring home
Seth Jones and a
Davie Morgan draw a bases loaded walk for the final run of the contest. Unable to fend off the Brevard offense, the Battling Bishops were unable to come away with the victory.

Wesleyan and Brevard will conclude the three game set on Saturday with a DH at Bauer Field beginning at 12:00 PM.
