Rocky Mount, NC - The N.C. Wesleyan softball team fell in a DH to #8 Christopher Newport on Wednesday afternoon. With the loss, the Battling Bishops fall to 14-14 on the season.
Game 1:
North Carolina Wesleyan 0, Christopher Newport 4
While Wesleyan was not able to grab much momentum on the offensive side of the ball,
Morgan Aycock pitched a dazzling game, only allowing four runs against one of the nation's premier offenses. First basemen
Makayla Simmons also recorded a hit in the defeat.
Game 2:
North Carolina Wesleyan 2, Christopher Newport 9
Scoring the first run of the afternoon for the Battling Bishops,
Skyler Walker singled up the middle to score Freshman
Frances Hanshew. In the 4th,
Ava Lowry put up the second and final run for Wesleyan, grounding out into a fielder's choice that brought around
Aleah Jones to the plate.

Wesleyan will host Mary Baldwin on Saturday afternoon in a DH beginning at 1:00 PM. The program will welcome home the 1998 and 1999 USA South Champions along with Senior Day.
