Baseball Downed by Virginia Wesleyan in Midweek Action

Virginia Beach, VA - The N.C. Wesleyan baseball team traveled to Virginia Wesleyan on Tuesday for a midweek clash with the Marlins. Headed into the home stretch of the conference season, the Battling Bishops sit at 22-10 overall on the year.

Scoring two quick runs out the gate, Davie Morgan roped a two-RBI double to right center to send around Javier Quintana and Blake Scott. Tacking on two quick runs in the 3rd and 4th frames, Alex Moskal and Javier Quintana were responsible  for driving in the third and fourth runs of the game via a sac-fly and single.

Breaking open a huge top of the 6th frame, Blake Scott got the inning underway by singling to right for one of four hits on the afternoon. Davie Morgan and Alex Moskal followed him by both doubling to bring home a trio of Battling Bishop runs.
