Rocky Mount, NC - The N.C. Wesleyan baseball team completed the sweep of Mary Baldwin by a final score of 12-6. Heading into the final weekend of conference play after a midweek clash with CNU, the Battling Bishops have already clinched the league title with a 15-3 USA South record.
Putting four runs on the board in the first two frames, a
Davie Morgan sac-fly and an
Alex Moskal RBI single got the afternoon off to a bang in the first. The very next inning was led by two RBI knocks from
Davie Morgan and Balke Scott to start out strong.
Breaking the game open in the 4th and 5th frames,
Blake Scott,
Alex Moskal, and
Colin Scoggins would all drive in runs to extend the Wesleyan advantage to 12-1.
On the mound for the Battling Bishops,
Preston Workman earned his 4th win on the year, tossing seven innings and only allowing five hits an a run.Â
