Greensboro, NC - The N.C. Wesleyan baseball team put nineteen runs on the board on Friday night in game one of the final conference regular season series. The Battling Bishops were led by second basemen
Davie Morgan who had six RBIs on the night.
Maison Nance drove in the first Battling Bishop run of the afternoon singling to right to bring home
Alex Moskal. The 4th and 5th innings saw Wesleyan break the game open with ten runs including a grand slam off the bat of
Davie Morgan.
Drifton Padgett,
Jackson Hobbs, and
Colin Scoggins also drove ina run each during the 5th to extend the lead to 11-6.
Putting the nail in the coffin in the final frame,
Maison Nance,
Colin Scoggins, and
Tyson Bass would drive in five Bishop runs for the 19th run of the contest and the most this season.Â
On the evening, the top half of the lineup combined for eleven hits, twelve runs scored, and drove in an incredible twelve runs for the 27th win of the year.
