Rocky Mount, NC - The N.C. Wesleyan baseball team knocked off William Peace in game two of the three game set at Bauer Field on Saturday afternoon. Opening up with two runs in the first,
Drifton Padgett and
Jackson Hobbs scored to open up with a 2-0 advantage.
In the 5th, Wesleyan tacked on two more runs thanks to a two RBI single off the bat of
Jaiden Barker. Wesleyan capped off the win with four late runs to secure a series victory of the Pacers.
On the mound,
Cord Butler remained unbeaten and improved to 7-0 on the season by only allowing two earned runs in seven innings of work. Butler stuck out twelve Peace hitters thanks to a dominant breaking ball throughout the game. Junior
Dylan Cheeley came in relief for the 8th and 9th frames and struck out two Pacers for the win.
