Newport News, VA - The N.C. Wesleyan baseball team fell in game two of the NCAA Regionals to Christopher Newport on Saturday at Captains Park. Led by
Jackson Hobbs and
Davie Morgan who both had two hit afternoons, Wesleyan could not put together timely hitting to pull out the victory.

Struggling to come up clutch with runners in scoring position, the Battling Bishops stranded eleven runners on base and only came up with two runs in the 8th, thanks to an RBI single from
Davie Morgan and a throwing error by the Captains.
On the mound for Wesleyan,
Chandler Padgett got the ball and went 5.2 innings and only allowed four hits and
Dylan Cheeley closed the contest, tossing the final 3.1 frames.

The Battling Bishops will face Immaculata at 11:00 AM at Captains Park in an elimination game. The winner of the contest will turn around and face the CNU Captains in the regional championship fifty minutes following the conclusion of game one.
