Rocky Mount, NC - The N.C. Wesleyan men's basketball team dominated in style with a commanding 72-53 victory over William Peace in NCWU's Back 2 School Jam on Wednesday night.

Leading the way for the Bishops was forward Markquan Gilbert, who put on a clinic with a team-high sixteen points, five rebounds, and six made field goals. Khalid Chavis-Hinds followed closely with an impressive fifteen points, four assists, and a 5-for-6 showing at the free-throw line. Graduate student guard Marquis Eskew also made his mark, contributing eleven points and two rebounds while connecting on five field goals.
Big man Kyron Kelly was a force in the paint, posting eight points and grabbing six rebounds to help the Bishops control the glass. Wesleyan dominated the boards, outrebounding the Pacers 37-27.
The Bishops' offensive efficiency was on full display, as NCWU shot an impressive 48.3% from the field and went 10-for-14 at the charity stripe. Wesleyan capitalized on its dominance inside with 46 points in the paint and turned William Peace's eleven turnovers into 21 points.
On the defensive end, Wesleyan held the Pacers to under 40% shooting from the field and limited the Pacers to just 5-of-19 from beyond the arc.
