Rocky Mount, NC - The N.C. Wesleyan women's basketball team secured its seventh conference victory of the 2024-25 season in dominant fashion, rolling past Meredith with a commanding 66-39 win.

Leading the charge was guard Nadia Simmons, who turned in her best performance of the year with 23 points and nine rebounds. Simmons was efficient from the floor, knocking down eight field goals and converting 5-of-6 from the free-throw line. Shamaya Lynch also made a significant impact, reaching double figures with thirteen points on six made shots.
Inside the paint, Iyana Evans and Dorinda Jordan were dominant, with Evans contributing seven points and seven boards, while Jordan added six points and six rebounds.
Wesleyan set the tone early, imposing its defensive will on the Avenging Angels. The Bishops stifled Meredith's offense, holding the Avenging Angels to just 28.8 percent shooting from the field and an 0-for-7 mark from beyond the arc. The defensive pressure forced 24 turnovers, which the Bishops turned into 34 fast-break points and 24 points in the paint.
NCWU also controlled the glass, collecting nearly 50 rebounds and converting thirteen second-chance points.
