Women's Soccer Edged 1–0 at Meredith

Raleigh, NC - The North Carolina Wesleyan women's soccer team dropped a hard-fought 1–0 decision on Wednesday night at Meredith in USA South play.

The Avenging Angels struck early, scoring the lone goal of the match in the 13th minute when Kathryn Angrave finished off a pass from Emma Jolliff. Despite chances throughout the contest, Wesleyan was unable to find the equalizer.

The Bishops generated six total shots, including two on frame, with Samantha Dell leading the attack with two attempts. Goalkeeper Grace Walls kept NCWU within striking distance by recording eight saves, including several key stops in the second half.

Wesleyan also held a 5–4 advantage in corner kicks, but Meredith's back line and goalkeeping tandem held strong to preserve the shutout.

With the loss, NCWU moves to 1-7-1 overall and 0-3-0 in USA South play. Meredith improves to 1-7-3 and 1-2-1 in conference action.
