Women's Soccer Comes Up Short in Road Contest at Greensboro

Greensboro, NC - The North Carolina Wesleyan women's soccer team came up short Saturday afternoon, dropping a 2-0 road decision to Greensboro at Pride Field.

The Pride took the lead in the 13th minute when Camryn Marcondes scored off an assist from Shae Brennan. Wesleyan pushed forward after halftime with several strong looks at goal, but Greensboro extended its advantage in the 69th minute as Claire Friedlander found the back of the net.

Goalkeeper Grace Walls tallied ten saves in another strong outing for the Bishops, while Samantha Dell led the team with four shots, including two on goal. Eden Whiteside and Kayden Comerford each added a shot on target in the effort.

North Carolina Wesleyan moves to 5-9-1 overall and 3-5 in USA South play, continuing its stretch of conference action on the road.
