Women's Soccer Rolls Past Pacers 3–1 for Second Straight USA South Win

Cary, NC - The North Carolina Wesleyan women's soccer team continued its conference momentum on Tuesday night, earning a 3–1 road victory over William Peace at WakeMed Soccer Park.

The Bishops (3–7-1, 2–3-0 USA South) controlled the match from start to finish, outshooting the Pacers 27–10 and putting fifteen shots on goal. Peyton Staub opened the scoring in the 39th minute when she finished a setup from Jordan Fernandez, sending Wesleyan into halftime with a 1–0 lead.

William Peace (1–8-1, 0–5-0) briefly leveled the match in the 55th minute on a strike from Samantha Fore, but the Bishops quickly regained control. Mia Scherbrer converted a penalty kick in the 86th minute to put Wesleyan back in front, then senior midfielder Samantha Dell sealed the win with a goal just before the final horn.

Dell led the Bishops with eight total shots and four on target, while Scherbrer and Staub each added key goals in the victory. Goalkeeper Grace Walls earned the win with four saves in 90 minutes of action.
