Greensboro, NC - The North Carolina Wesleyan women's soccer team saw its 2025 campaign come to a close Saturday afternoon, falling 2-0 to Greensboro in the opening round of the USA South Conference Tournament at Pride Field.
The Pride's Camryn Marcondes scored in the 16th minute and again in the 82nd to lead Greensboro, while senior goalkeeper Grace Walls turned in another stellar effort for the Bishops with nine saves. Despite a strong defensive effort, Wesleyan was unable to generate consistent pressure against the host team's back line.
The loss concluded a year of growth and perseverance for the Bishops, who finished the season 7-10-1 overall and 4-5 in USA South play under head coach Beverly Biancur. After a slow start, the Bishops found their rhythm in October, highlighted by conference wins over Pfeiffer (3-1), William Peace (3-1), Salem (5-0), and Methodist (2-1). The team also delivered a dominant non-conference performance at Regent (5-0) and notched a road win at Warren Wilson (3-1) to close the regular season strong.
