Lynchburg, VA - The North Carolina Wesleyan men's basketball picked up its third straight win on Saturday afternoon, using a strong second half to earn a 77–73 road victory at Randolph inside Frances and Don Giles Gymnasium. The Bishops improve to 3–1 overall.
After trailing 35–32 at the break, Wesleyan shot 53% from the field in the second half and outscored the Wildcats 45–38 to secure the comeback. The Bishops turned defense into offense throughout the final twenty minutes, forcing fifteen turnovers and converting them into 25 points.
Nasir Johnson delivered a standout performance, finishing with a game-high 29 points on 11-of-16 shooting while adding three steals. Justin Burden provided a crucial spark with fourteen points, including a key three-pointer and several tough finishes down the stretch. Freshman Ro'Mello Pegues chipped in eleven points off the bench, going a perfect 5-for-5 at the free throw line.
Fisayo Adebimpe added eight points and five rebounds, while Markquan Gilbert finished with six points and two steals. Justin Burden and DJ Benbow combined for nine assists as the Bishops continued to share the ball effectively.
Randolph (0–1) was led by Viktor Parson's eighteen points and Aveion Tucker's thirteen.
Wesleyan shot 82.8% from the free throw line (24-of-29) and held the Wildcats without a made three-pointer in the second half. The Bishops also dominated in transition, scoring twenty fast-break points.
