Misenheimer, NC — The N.C. Wesleyan men's basketball team's postseason run came to an end Saturday night as the Bishops fell to Pfeiffer 108-80 in the USA South Championship Game inside Merner Gymnasium.

Despite a strong start, Wesleyan was unable to keep pace with the top-seeded Falcons, who shot a blistering 59% from the field and 40% from beyond the arc.
Pfeiffer opened the game with efficient offense, shooting 57% in the first half to build a 44-37 advantage at the break. Wesleyan stayed within striking distance early, led by Marquis Eskew, who poured in a team-high eighteen points on 7-of-12 shooting. Omari Bolden added twelve points and five rebounds, while Khalid Chavis-Hinds chipped in nine points and four boards.
The Falcons' offensive firepower proved too much in the second half, as the Falcons erupted for 64 points over the final 20 minutes. Pfeiffer capitalized on turnovers and fast-break opportunities, scoring 32 points in transition while also holding a 52-48 edge in points in the paint.
The Bishop bench contributed 27 points, led by Kaleb Brooks with nine and Jaylon Bumpass with eight. Wesleyan shot 41.1% from the field overall but struggled at the free throw line, converting just 15-of-29 attempts (51.7%).
The Bishops close the season with a 17-10 overall record, highlighted by a trip to the USA South Finals.
