Rocky Mount, NC - The N.C. Wesleyan lacrosse team showed resilience and determination on Saturday afternoon at Stallings Field, taking on USA South foe Southern Virginia. While the Bishops ultimately fell 21-1, the team continued to display effort and growth throughout the contest.

Maxima Iglesias provided a highlight for the Bishops, netting a goal late in the first quarter with an impressive unassisted effort. Her ability to find the back of the net showcased the potential of Wesleyan's offensive play.

Despite the challenge, NCWU battled throughout the game, with the defensive unit working tirelessly against a strong Southern Virginia attack. The Bishops showed grit, forcing turnovers and fighting for possession against a veteran Knights squad.
