The North Carolina Wesleyan women's volleyball team turned in a competitive weekend of action, playing three matches in two days and coming away with a pair of victories to improve their early-season record. The Bishops opened on Friday night with a hard-fought battle against McDaniel, ultimately falling 3–1 despite taking the opening set. Wesleyan edged the Green Terror 26–24 in the first frame behind the strong hitting of Ashley Hinton, who finished with 13 kills and added two service aces. Setter Emilee Wilson kept the offense running with 30 assists, while libero Jadyn Smith anchored the back row with 17 digs. Brooklynn Covic chipped in nine kills and Savannah Banks added eight, but McDaniel's aggressive serving (12 aces) and blocking advantage proved to be the difference as the Bishops dropped the next three sets 22–25, 16–25, and 21–25.
On Saturday morning, Wesleyan struggled to find its rhythm against Mount Aloysius and dropped a 3–0 decision. The Bishops fell 25–16, 25–15, and 25–21 in a match where their attack was held in check and the Mounties controlled play at the net. Hinton and Covic provided offensive sparks with several key kills, while Wilson and Smith continued to lead in assists and digs.
The Bishops regrouped in their Saturday afternoon finale, responding with a sweep of Penn College. After a competitive first set that ended 25–20, Wesleyan raised its level and closed out the match with decisive 25–12 and 25–15 wins. The offense clicked behind 14 kills and two aces from Hinton, supported by 10 kills from Covic and nine from Banks. Wilson turned in a strong setting performance with 45 assists, while Smith once again steadied the back row with 23 digs. Wesleyan's serving and blocking proved to be difference makers, limiting Penn College's offense and helping secure the 3–0 victory.
Across the three matches, Wesleyan showed both resilience and balance, relying on its core of Hinton, Covic, Banks, Wilson, and Smith to deliver consistent performances. The team's ability to bounce back from two losses with a strong sweep in the finale demonstrated its mental toughness and growth early in the season. With a 1–2 weekend, the Bishops moved to 6–4 overall and will return home for a Wednesday night USA South matchup at 6pm. .
