Men's Soccer Drops Conference Opener Against Pfeiffer

Rocky Mount, NC - The N.C. Wesleyan men's soccer team opened USA South play on Saturday afternoon, falling 1-0 to Pfeiffer in a hard-fought contest at Scalf Field.

The visiting Falcons struck quickly, scoring just three minutes into the match on a finish from Wesley Hooker. Despite the early deficit, the Bishops settled in defensively and created chances to equalize throughout both halves.

Wesleyan matched Pfeiffer in total shots (7-7), with Gareth Siemers, Daan Post, and Tom Roantree each putting attempts on frame. Falcon goalkeeper Seth Limbert was up to the task, collecting six saves to secure the clean sheet.

Bishop keeper Jacob Westermark anchored the defense with two saves, while the back line limited Pfeiffer to just four shots after halftime. The second half grew increasingly physical as both teams pushed forward, with a pair of red cards issued, but the score remained unchanged.
