Box Score Brevard, N.C. - N.C. Wesleyan closed out the regular season in strong fashion on February 21, earning an 86–77 USA South Conference road victory over Brevard at Boshamer Gymnasium. The Bishops set the tone early, racing out to a 45–27 halftime lead behind efficient shooting and dominant interior play. Wesleyan shot 54.1 percent from the field for the game and controlled the paint with 48 points inside while also adding 16 fast-break points. Despite Brevard's second-half push, the Bishops maintained composure, finishing 16-of-19 from the free-throw line and outrebounding the Tornados 44–19 to secure their 19th win of the season and cap an impressive 11–3 conference campaign.
Nasir Johnson delivered a standout performance, pouring in a game-high 31 points on 11-of-22 shooting while adding eight rebounds and two steals to lead the charge. Markquan Gilbert provided a major spark off the bench with 21 points on an efficient 7-of-9 from the field and 7-of-8 at the free-throw line. James Jones contributed 12 points and eight rebounds, while Deejayy Cox controlled the glass with 11 rebounds to go along with six points. Omari Bolden added six points and three assists as Wesleyan showcased balanced production across the lineup. With the regular season now complete, the Bishops head into postseason play as the No. 2 seed in the USA South Conference Tournament. After earning a first-round bye, N.C. Wesleyan will host the Second Round of the playoffs on February 26 at Everett Gymnasium as they begin their pursuit of a conference championship.
