Bishops Advance to USA South Semifinals with 91–69 Win

Rocky Mount, N.C. - N.C. Wesleyan opened the USA South Tournament in dominant fashion Tuesday night at Everett Gymnasium, pulling away for a 91–69 victory over Greensboro to advance to the semifinals. After a tightly contested first quarter, the Bishops erupted for 30 points in the second period to seize control of the game and never looked back. Wesleyan shot 49.3% from the floor, controlled the glass with a 60–39 rebounding advantage, and poured in 52 points in the paint. The depth of the Bishops proved to be a major difference, as the bench contributed 44 points in a balanced, high-energy effort in front of 115 fans.

Anaya Hall led the charge with 18 points and seven rebounds, consistently attacking the rim and converting key free throws to maintain momentum. Dorinda Jordan delivered a dominant interior performance with 14 points and a game-high 12 rebounds, anchoring Wesleyan's presence in the paint on both ends of the floor. Ansley Griffin provided a major spark off the bench, knocking down three three-pointers on her way to 17 points, while Harmony Martin added eight points and steady play in key stretches. Joy Ezeh also made her impact felt on the boards with eight rebounds as the Bishops wore down Greensboro with relentless energy and physicality.

With the victory, N.C. Wesleyan advances to the semifinals of the USA South Postseason Tournament and will travel to Southern Virginia University for the next round as they continue their pursuit of a conference championship.
