Rocky Mount, N.C. - The N.C. Wesleyan women's lacrosse team closed out its home schedule on April 11, battling Greensboro in a thrilling Senior Day matchup for #5 Maxima Iglesias and #9 Bri Garcia, but ultimately falling 10-9 in overtime. The Battling Bishops delivered one of their strongest performances of the season, showcasing resilience and offensive firepower in a back-and-forth contest that came down to the final moments.

Iglesias led the way with a dominant performance, scoring seven goals and adding two assists, while Nicole Triassi contributed two goals, including a clutch man-up score in the closing seconds of regulation to tie the game at 9-9 and force overtime. Wesleyan struck first early in the opening quarter and remained competitive throughout, responding to multiple Greensboro runs and taking key leads in the second and fourth quarters.

The Bishops carried momentum into the final period, with Iglesias continuing to pace the offense and Triassi finishing strong late. Defensively, Elizabeth Daniels recorded nine saves in goal, helping Wesleyan withstand pressure from a Greensboro attack that generated 27 shots.
