Macon, GA - The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its athletes of the week and Savannah Thompson has earned conference player of the week accolades. The sophomore catcher from Franklinton, North Carolina went a combined 7-for-11 (.636) with a .582 on-base percentage, and a .818 slugging percentage to go along with one run scored, eight RBI, two doubles, and one sacrifice fly as the Battling Bishops posted a 4-0 record against USA South foes. In a doubleheader sweep of William Peace, Thompson was a combined 3-for-7 with five RBI and one double. In a doubleheader sweep of Brevard, Thompson was a perfect 4-for-4 with one run scored, three RBI, one double, and one sacrifice fly.
