Lynchburg, VA - The North Carolina Wesleyan indoor track and field programs turned in a strong showing at the Liberty Invitational, highlighted by multiple USA South Athletic Conference weekly honors announced following the meet.
On the men's side, Noah Boykin earned both USA South Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week and Men's Indoor Field Rookie of the Week recognition after an impressive performance in the shot put. The freshman from Four Oaks, North Carolina recorded a best throw of 13.44 meters at the Liberty Kickoff, placing him among the top performers in the conference.
Wesleyan also received a men's track nomination, as Savion Kinard was recognized among the conference's standout competitors following action at the Liberty Invitational.
The women's program collected three weekly honors after a productive weekend in Lynchburg. Ti'Asia Bryant was named USA South Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week after competing in three events. The junior from Kinston, North Carolina finished in 7.78 in the finals of the 60 meters, ran 25.71 in the 200 meters, and was part of the Bishops' 4x400-meter relay team.
Freshman NaQuayla Stanford received USA South Women's Indoor Track Rookie of the Week honors after also competing in three events. The Jacksonville, North Carolina native posted an 8.06 finish in the 60-meter finals, completed the 200 meters in 25.27, and joined the 4x400-meter relay team.
Rounding out the awards, Londyn Green-Dubose was selected as USA South Women's Indoor Field Rookie of the Week. The freshman from Winston-Salem, North Carolina recorded a mark of 5.21 meters in the long jump at the Liberty Kickoff.
