Rome, GA - The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its athletes of the week and Juan Abascal has been named the league's track rookie athlete of the week. The freshman from Ampuero, Cantabria, Spain competed in two events at the River City Relays. In the 800 meters, Abascal completed the race in a time of 2:00.80. In the 1,500 meters, Abascal finished in a time of 4:20.52.
