Track & Field Competes at River City Relays in First Outdoor Meet

Jacksonville, FL - The N.C. Wesleyan Track & Field program put together another strong showing this past weekend at the River City Relays, hosted by the University of North Florida. Several Battling Bishops delivered standout performances, earning top spots in the conference and regional rankings to start the outdoor season. 

Ti'Asia Bryant continued her impressive season, clocking a 12.08 in the 100m dash to secure the number one ranking in both the USA South Conference and the region. Her time also ranks second overall in NCAA Division III. She also holds the top spot in the conference for the 400m and ranks third in the region, sitting at 20th nationally.

KeSondra Pickett excelled in the field events, securing the number one ranking in the USA South for the long jump.

In the sprints, another Bishop delivered a strong showing, ranking second in the conference in both the 200m (26.55) and 100m (12.93).

On the men's side, Juan Abascal led the way in the distance events, taking the top spot in the conference in both the 800m (2:00.80) and 1500m (4:20.52).
