Rocky Mount, NC - North Carolina Wesleyan and head men's soccer coach Mark Bowman have officially released the Battling Bishops' 2025 schedule, featuring a competitive non-conference slate and a full USA South Conference lineup leading into postseason play.
The campaign kicks off with a pair of exhibition matches, beginning at home on Saturday, August 23, against Francis Marion at Scalf Field. The team will then travel to nearby Barton College on Tuesday, August 26, for a second preseason tune-up in Wilson, NC
The regular season begins with a challenging road stretch, as the Bishops head to Ashland, Virginia, for the season opener against Randolph-Macon on Friday, August 29. Two days later, they travel north to face Mary Washington on August 31, followed by a trip south for matchups at Emory (September 5) and Oglethorpe (September 7) in Atlanta, Georgia.
Wesleyan's home opener is slated for Friday, September 12, when the Bishops host Roanoke College. They'll remain at Scalf Field on September 14 to welcome Averett before heading back on the road to take on Hampden-Sydney on September 18 and Catholic in Washington, DC, on September 24.
The USA South Conference schedule begins Saturday, September 27, when the Bishops host Pfeiffer. Conference play continues with home matchups against William Peace (October 1), Mary Baldwin (October 11), Brevard (October 18), and a key Senior Night showdown with Methodist University on October 29. Road conference games include trips to Southern Virginia (October 4), Greensboro (October 25), and Methodist.
Wesleyan will also host non-conference opponent Mary Washington for a second meeting on October 15, followed by a marquee clash with Christopher Newport on October 22 at Scalf Field.
The 2025 USA South Conference Tournament begins on Saturday, November 1, with the first round, followed by semifinals on November 5 and the championship match on November 8. Dates, locations, and opponents will be determined based on regular-season standings.
With a demanding schedule and a strong returning core, the Bishops aim to make another run at the USA South title in 2025.
