MISENHEIMER, N.C. - The NC Wesleyan College women's tennis team cruised to an 8-1 road win over conference foe Pfeiffer University on Saturday.

The ladies were led by freshmen #1 Fariza Abdulloeva and #2 Milena Amedieva and sophomore #3 Julianna Johnson as they all won via 6-0, 6-0 scores in singles.

Pfeiffer forfeited at #5 and #6 singles as well as #3 doubles while Wesleyan's top two doubles teams won also. The #1 doubles pairing of Amedieva and Fariza won 8-0 while the #2 team of junior Nicole Halabi and sophomore Ana Aguilar won 8-2. #3 sophomore Giulia Zanetti was also leading 3-1 in her match until having to default due to injury.

The Bishops improve to 7-4 overall and a conference-leading 2-0 in the conference with the win while Pfeiffer falls to 4-6 and 1-2.

The Bishops are back in action on Tuesday with a conference match at Averett at 3:30 PM.
