Women's Tennis Rout Meredith

RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC Wesleyan College women's tennis team routed conference foe Meredith College 9-0 on the road Wednesday afternoon.

The women dominated the Angels in singles by such a margin that of the five singles matches that were played, the Bishops only lost a single game of the 10 sets that were played.

12th ranked freshman Fariza Abdulloeva and fellow freshman Milena Amedieva, the current conference player of the week, led the Bishops with 6-0, 6-0 wins at #1 and #2 singles while they also teamed up to win #1 doubles 8-2. 

Sophomore Giulia Zanetti and junior Nicole Halabi then teamed up to win 8-2 at #2 doubles as well while Halabi won 6-0, 6-1 at #3 singles. Sophomore Julianna Johnson and senior Stephany Barbera also won by shutout in singles while Louise Hovhammer and Ana Aguilar paired up to win 8-3 on the third line of doubles.

The Lady Bishops improve to 9-4 overall and 4-0 in the conference and will next turn right around and face Peace University on the road tomorrow (Thur.) at 4 PM in Raleigh.
