Women's Tennis Fall at Sewanee

SEWANEE, Tenn. - The NC Wesleyan College women's tennis team dropped both ends of their doubleheader at Sewanee University on Saturday and Sunday falling 8-1 in the first match and 7-2 in the second.

Winning her singles match on Saturday was freshman Elisa Mariotti at the #3 singles line as she won 6-2 and 6-3. Freshman Stefanie Wilske also fell 2-6, 4-6 at the 2 line while junior Giulia Zanetti lost 3-6, 2-6 at the top line. Wilske and Mariotti were also competitive in their #2 doubles match before falling 8-5.

The aforementioned #2 doubles team of Wilske and Mariotti then came back to win their doubles match on Sunday 8-4. Also winning her singles match Sunday was Wilske as she took it 7-5, 6-1.

The women will next be in action on March 9 when they come home to host D-2 Shaw University at 1 PM.
