ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - The NC Wesleyan College women's tennis team fell 5-4 at home vs. D-2 foe Chowan University on Tuesday.

Junior Chandler Brice and senior Ana Aguilar led the women in doubles winning their #3 match 8-5 while the top doubles team of seniors Talitha Rowan and Giulia Zanetti fell 8-6 in a hard-fought bout.

In Singles, Wesleyan was led by wins from Zanetti at #2 (6-4, 6-0), Aguilar at #5 and Brice at #6 (6-0, 6-0) while freshman Stefanie Wilske fell 7-6, 6-4 in a tight bout at the top line. 

The Lady Bishops fall to 3-6 with the loss while Chowan improves to 5-6.

Wesleyan will return to action Wednesday with a conference matchup at Averett at 2 PM.
