Rocky Mount, NC - On a beautiful night for a run on the campus of N.C. Wesleyan, star runner Philly Barungi took first place in the men's 6k by finishing with a time of 22:37. The men also had Ayden Harper come in 5th on the card running a time of 23:48. Wesleyan was able to claim two of the top five spots against very high quality competition.

On the ladies side of the equation, Wesleyan had two runners in the event with Kamiyah Wooten and Mariah Brooks. Both women placed 6th and 7th respectively, running times under 21:01 in the 4K event.

Wesleyan's cross country program will head to UNCW on Friday for a meet that is scheduled to begin at 7:30 pm.
