Rocky Mount, NC - N.C. Wesleyan was once again honored to host the USA South Cross Country Championship, bringing together some of the top runners in the conference for a great event in Rocky Mount. The event highlighted by the conference championship meets on both the women's and men's side along with a trophy presentation by the league office afterwards.
On the women's side, the Bishops fielded two competitors. Leading the charge for Wesleyan was
Kamiyah Wooten, who put in a strong performance and finished 22nd overall with a time of 28:23.6. Wooten's effort was complemented by teammate Kesondra Pickett, who crossed the finish line in 42nd place with a time of 37:39.8. Both runners represented the Battling Bishops with pride.
On the men's side,
Juan Abascal led the way with an impressive time of 29:10.8, placing 23rd overall.
Dwyan Rowe rounded out the day for the Bishops, finishing in 41st place with a time of 38:27.1. Both Abascal and Rowe ran strong races, pushing themselves in a competitive field of USA South runners.
