Long Island, NY – The N.C. Wesleyan golf team took on one of America's most iconic courses this past weekend, competing at the Bethpage State Park Golf Course, a venue that has hosted two U.S. Open Championships and is set to host the Ryder Cup in 2025. Beyond the competition, the team enjoyed a memorable trip, visiting a New York Islanders game and forming many lifelong memories.
On one of the most challenging courses in the country, Myles Patterson delivered another outstanding performance, finishing 11th in a highly competitive field. Patterson shot one under par on Saturday and followed up with an even 72 on Sunday to cap off his fall season on a high note.
Guido Guevara also represented the Bishops well, securing another Wesleyan top-20 finish. Guevara shot one over for the weekend, highlighted by a strong 73 in Sunday's final round.
Senior captain Matthew Coltren rounded out the team's top performers with a top-40 finish. After a tough start, Coltren bounced back on Sunday, shooting a solid 74 to finish his tournament on a high note.
