Rome, GA – The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its All-Sportsmanship Team selections for the 2024-25 men's golf season, with North Carolina Wesleyan's Lucas Perez Souts earning recognition for his outstanding character, leadership, and integrity.

A senior from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and a product of Colegio Champagnat, Perez Souts has consistently represented the Battling Bishops golf program with class both on and off the course. His selection to the USA South All-Sportsmanship Team highlights not only his skill as a competitor, but also his commitment to embodying the core values of respect, fairness, and exemplary sportsmanship.

The USA South All-Sportsmanship Team honors one student-athlete from each conference institution who best reflects these ideals throughout the year. Perez Souts has demonstrated these qualities through his positive attitude, support of teammates, and respect for fellow competitors and officials at every event.

Throughout the 2024-25 season, Perez Souts was a key contributor for the Bishops, appearing in nineteen rounds with a total score of 1,441 and an average of 75.8 strokes per round. His consistent play included one round at par, eight birdies, and three eagles, helping lead Wesleyan in several key tournaments while remaining a steady presence in the lineup.
