Mount Olive, NC - The N.C. Wesleyan track and field program competed at the Trojan Challenge hosted by Mount Olive University and the Bishop superstars were on full display.
Ti'Asia Bryant stole the show, running a 25.70 second 200-meter dash, which now ranks her second in the conference and 7th nationally. In the 100-meter dash event, Bryant came in second with a time of 11.95 seconds to be ranked as the #3 overall sprinter in NCAA DIII in this event.
Desmond Barnes and
Christian Van Norden also put their talents on display in the field events. Van Norden now is first in the USA South in the shot-put event with a throw of 11.84 meters and third in the discus with a throw of 26.97 meters.
Also an indoor conference champion in the shot-put,
Desmond Barnes threw a 12.26 meter shot-put attempt to be second in the outdoor season and third in the discus with a throw of 39.18 meters.
