Buena Vista, Virginia - N.C. Wesleyan competed with resilience and determination in its December 15 road matchup at Southern Virginia, falling 74–62 in a hard-fought USA South contest. After a challenging opening stretch, the Bishops settled in and showed improved rhythm as the game progressed, staying within reach through consistent defensive effort and trips to the free-throw line. Wesleyan finished the night shooting 34.5 percent from the field and converted 21 of 31 free throws, allowing them to keep pressure on the Knights throughout the second half.
Anaya Hall led the Bishops offensively with 12 points, providing steady scoring and energy on both ends of the floor. Kalaesia Lincoln and Des'Myah Croom each added nine points, with Croom knocking down a key three and contributing from the line to help fuel Wesleyan's second-half push. Dorinda Jordan battled inside and finished with six points while helping on the glass, and Kieara Hughes added six points of her own, giving the Bishops valuable contributions across the lineup. Although Southern Virginia maintained control late, Wesleyan's balanced scoring, effort, and persistence highlighted the team's competitiveness as it continues conference play.
