Box Score Belmont, NC - North Carolina Wesleyan women's tennis opened its spring 2025 campaign on the road Tuesday afternoon, falling 6-1 to Belmont Abbey at the Reidy Tennis Center.

DOUBLES:

• At the top spot, Renata Torres and Ajla Selimovic battled but fell 7-5 to Daniella Galeano and Katharine Calvet.
• Andrea Elaez Miranda and Melanie Guzman matched the intensity at No. 2 doubles but dropped a close 7-5 decision to Anna Li and Taylor Reid.
• Ivanna Torres and Linda Nhiwatiwa competed at No. 3, ultimately falling 6-3 to Lesslee Hendricks and Maggie Page.

SINGLES:

• Renata Torres secured the Bishops' lone point at No. 4 singles with a hard-fought 7-5, 6-4 win over Davis McSwain.
• Elaez Miranda dropped a 7-5, 6-2 contest at the top singles spot to Lily Aranyos.
• Ivanna Torres fell 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2, while Selimovic was defeated 6-3, 6-2 at No. 3.
• Guzman and Solomiia Badii rounded out the lineup at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively, with both falling in straight sets.
