Golf Wraps Up Play at 52nd Annual Camp Lejeune Invitational

Camp Lejeune, NC - The North Carolina Wesleyan  golf team competed in the 52nd Annual Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate this weekend, finishing 22nd in a highly competitive field on the Gold Championship Course at Paradise Point.

The Bishops posted team scores of 307, 313, and 312 over the three-day event, combining for a total of 932.

Leading the way for Wesleyan was Lucas Perez Souts, who delivered a steady performance across all three rounds. The freshman carded rounds of 73, 78, and 74 to finish tied for 49th overall with a 225 total. Not far behind was sophomore Guido Guevara, who matched Perez Souts with a final-round 74 and finished at 226, tied for 56th.

Myles Patterson and Mason Fischer followed with totals of 242 and 245, respectively, while Aidan Harrington rounded out the lineup with a 246. The trio battled throughout the weekend against tough course conditions and stiff competition from some of the top teams in the region.

The Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate, hosted annually by the United States Marine Corps Base, remains one of the premier events on the golf calendar. This year's tournament featured a deep field with strong showings from nationally ranked programs.
