Geneva, OH - North Carolina Wesleyan women's track and field was represented on the national stage this past weekend as sophomore sprinters
Kamiyah Wooten and Ti'asia Bryant competed at the 2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, held May 22-24 at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
Both Battling Bishops qualified for individual events at the championship meet, marking a significant achievement for the growing program.
Bryant competed in the 100-meter dash preliminaries, finishing 14th overall with a time of 11.97 seconds in a field loaded with elite sprinters from across the country. She was the second-fastest sophomore in the event.
Wooten earned entries in two events, competing in both the 100-meter dash and 400-meter dash. She placed 21st in the 100 meters with a time of 12.10 seconds and later returned to the track for the 400 meters, where she finished 21st overall in 57.31 seconds. Both performances capped off a strong sophomore campaign.
"Kamiyah and Ti'asia have worked tremendously hard to earn their spots on the national stage," said head coach Bill Dunn. "Their presence here shows the strides we've made as a program and sets a standard for our future."
Athletic Director Aaron Denton also praised the duo's accomplishment: "To have two underclassmen represent Wesleyan at the NCAA Championships is a testament to their talent and dedication, as well as the direction our track and field program is headed. We are incredibly proud of them."
