NC Wesleyan Women's Track & Field Sends Standout Athletes to NCAA Division III Indoor Championships
North Carolina Wesleyan University will be represented on the national stage as several members of the Battling Bishops women's indoor track and field team travel to Birmingham, Alabama to compete in the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships, held March 13–14 at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
The annual championship brings together the top Division III athletes from across the country for two days of elite competition, with participants qualifying through their performances during the indoor season.
NC Wesleyan will be represented by a group of standout student-athletes who have earned national qualifying marks and will compete both individually and as part of a relay team.
Junior Kamiyah Wooten enters the national meet as one of the most versatile athletes in the field, qualifying for two individual events. Wooten will compete in the 200-meter dash, where she enters with a seed time of 24.21 seconds, and the 400-meter dash, where she holds a qualifying mark of 55.92 seconds.
Joining Wooten in the sprint events is junior Ti'asia Bryant, who will compete in the 60-meter dash with a seed time of 7.66 seconds, placing her among the fastest qualifiers in the nation heading into the preliminary rounds.
In addition to the individual qualifiers, NC Wesleyan will also be represented in the 4x400-meter relay, where the Battling Bishops enter with a season-best time of 3:47.86. The relay squad features Saniya Hall, Kamiyah Wooten, Ti'asia Bryant, and NaQuayla Stanford, a quartet that has been instrumental in the team's success throughout the indoor season.
The NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships serve as the pinnacle of the indoor season, bringing together the nation's best competitors across sprint, distance, relay, and field events to determine individual and team national champions.
For the Battling Bishops, the opportunity to compete on this stage reflects a season of outstanding performances and continued growth for the program. With multiple athletes representing the program across several events, NC Wesleyan will look to make its mark as competition begins in Birmingham this weekend.
