Hall Named USA South Player of the Week

N.C. Wesleyan junior forward Anaya Hall was named the USA South Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of January 19, 2026, after an outstanding stretch in which the Battling Bishops posted a 2-0 record against USA South opponents. Hall averaged a double-double of 23.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game, along with 1.0 assists and 1.0 steals, standing out as one of the top performers in the conference during the week .

In a 71-65 win over Meredith, Hall delivered a dominant performance with 24 points and 10 rebounds, adding one assist and one steal while anchoring the Wesleyan offense. She followed that up in a 66-50 victory at Salem by posting 23 points and 10 rebounds, contributing one assist, one steal, and one block in another strong all-around effort. Her consistent double-double outputs were key in the Battling Bishops' success for the week .

Through the 2025-26 season, Hall has been a key player for the women's basketball team, providing scoring and rebounding from the forward position as part of Wesleyan's rotation. Her performances this past week — highlighted by her scoring consistency and gritty rebounding — were instrumental in earning her the conference's Player of the Week honor .
