Rocky Mount, NC - The North Carolina Wesleyan women's basketball program has announced its 2025–26 schedule, highlighted by a strong home lineup, a Division I contest, and a full USA South Conference slate as the Bishops prepare for another exciting season under head coach Artina Trader.
The Bishops open the season on Wednesday, November 12, with a home matchup against Mary Washington inside Everett Gymnasium. The contest marks the start of a busy opening stretch that includes the annual Jean Edge Classic and several high-level non-conference opponents.
Non-Conference Slate
Following the opener, NCWU hosts the Jean Edge Classic on November 15–16. The weekend event features matchups between Methodist, Lynchburg, and Averett, with the Bishops taking on Averett on Saturday evening and Lynchburg on Sunday afternoon.
Wesleyan then hits the road for a November 22 contest at Roanoke before returning home to host Brevard on December 2 in the USA South opener. The Bishops will also welcome Christopher Newport (Dec. 4) and Pfeiffer (Dec. 6) to Everett Gymnasium before a mid-December road swing.
The team will travel to Regent (Dec. 10), Southern Virginia (Dec. 15), and Mary Baldwin (Dec. 16) before a marquee trip to NCAA Division I Elon on December 30 at Schar Center.
Conference Play
After the turn of the new year, Wesleyan dives into the heart of USA South competition with a January 3 road matchup at William Peace. The Bishops then return home for a four-game stretch against Greensboro (Jan. 6), Southern Virginia (Jan. 10), Meredith (Jan. 14), and William Peace (Jan. 20).
Wesleyan will travel to Pfeiffer (Jan. 24) and Methodist (Jan. 28) before returning to Everett Gymnasium to face Salem on January 31 and Methodist on February 3. The final stretch of league play features road trips to Meredith (Feb. 7), Greensboro (Feb. 11), and Brevard (Feb. 21), along with a February 14 matchup against Mary Baldwin.
Postseason Outlook
The USA South Conference Tournament is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, February 24, followed by the semifinals on February 26 and the championship game on February 28.
